Thai Massage

Thai Massage is an ancient healing modality that was created more than 2500 years ago in India by Doctor Shivago Kompara, who was also known as a close friend to the Buddha.

Thai massage is a perfect blend between Indian Yoga and Chinese Acupuncter. It works not only with your physical body but with your energetic body. By hitting certain points and forming different shapes or “Postures” It can relieve tension and increase overall blood circulation. This is one of the four pillars of Traditional Thai Mecicine. I recommend it over traditional Western modalities.

Abyhanga Ayurvedic

Ayurveda, Originating in India, is the first holistic medical system to ever exist. Similar to Thai Traditional medicine, Ayurveda has a strong emphasis on massage as a part of holistic wellbeing. A traditional abyhanga massage works with warm oils to promote circulation, strength, vision and wellness throughout the body. During a session, long glided strokes are applied to the long bones of the body and circular strokes to the joints. This ancient practice has been used for many years to promote wellness in communities.

Deep Tissue massage is one of the most popular western modalities that focuses on penetrating issues deep in the inner layers of the muscular system. This massage is used mainly to treat musculoskeletal issues such as sprains, and sports injuries. Deep tissue massage uses mainly slow and long strokes.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most well known massage practice and something I recommend to anyone coming in for their first massage session. It is a combination between long and short soft strokes working into the superficial layers of the body as well as the movements of joints. A typical session lasts around 6o minutes.

My goal for this service is to educate and inform clients on how to self practice. I will provide yoga asana sequences to help aid certain discomforts in the body as well as align the body in the session, creating a body to mind connection on how the posture should feel when done correctly. This can be an add on to any service for a reduced price!
